Paul E. Mendel is Vice President of RB Management Services, Inc. and also serves as a corporate tenant representative for Richard Bowers & Company. Paul has over 15 years experience in leasing and property management. A native Atlantan, Paul graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1982. He is also a graduate of Xerox Professional Sales School. Paul served several years as Chairman of the Georgia State University Alumni Club President’s Committee. He is past President of Georgia State University’s Real Estate Alumni Group, and currently serves as vice-president of Georgia State’s Alumni Association. He is also currently President-Elect of Georgia State’s Alumni Association. Paul recently concluded serving in his sixth and final year as a board member for FOCUS, an organization that helps families whose children have severe medical problems. At RB Management Services and Richard Bowers & Company, Paul has established himself as a valued team leader, working successfully in turning around distressed properties in suburban and urban Atlanta. He was a member of the Richard Bowers & Company redevelopment team focusing on the urban market, charged with property management of the renovated 17-story downtown office building, Five Points Plaza, after he leased the entire building to the federal agency (HUD) Housing and Urban Development. Paul is a member of the leasing team for Shadowood Office Park, a 202,000 square foot suburban mid-rise office development comprising three buildings. In addition, Paul currently heads the management team in charge of the facilities management for American Cancer Society’s 58 locations in seven states across the country including Georgia, the Carolina’s, Maryland, Delaware, and the District of Columbia in Washington, D.C. Paul’s team is also in charge of the real estate transactions not only for all of the leased office buildings, but also the free-standing buildings that are owned by ACS as well. Prior to joining RB Management, Paul was a leasing agent and property manager with Love Properties, an employer who served as national President of the Institute of Real Estate Management. During his four years at Love, he worked primarily with the Resolution Trust Corporation and Carteret Savings & Loan. Much of his time was spent in the leasing of RTC properties prior to auction and providing necessary information to potential purchasers. Paul’s diverse experience in office leasing representing both tenants and landlords, along with his project management background, enables him to professionally represent his clients in a most effective way. Paul is a Licensed Commercial Real Estate Salesman, A Charter Member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, and a Certified Property Manager candidate with superior status. Notably, Paul is a published contributing writer to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Among his articles are titles such as "Leasing Space? Follow 10 Demandments" and "How Not To Strike Out With Your Tenants." In his spare time, Paul enjoys skiing, tennis, basketball, reading, and writing.
