Richard Bowers & Co. Completes Refinancing of its 270 Peachtree Office Tower

With the restructuring of its CMBS loan, Richard Bowers & Co. is well-positioned to move forward with lease negotiations regardless of the troubled economy.

270 Peachtree Office TowersATLANTA, GEORGIA (Friday, September 3, 2010) — Richard Bowers & Co., a full service real estate company specializing in leasing, management, investment and development of commercial real estate, announced today that the firm has completed the refinancing and recapitalization of their 270 Peachtree Street building. Activity is currently brisk and several significant requirements are in the works.

Neighboring its sister office tower, 260 Peachtree Street, in the heart of downtown Atlanta, the 270 Peachtree tower is a 23-story, Class A office building comprising of over 326,000 total rentable square feet. Purchased by Richard Bowers in May of 1999, 270 Peachtree has undergone extensive renovations that include new energy efficient reflective glass, extensive lobby upgrades with new common area finishes, among others.

“We are extremely pleased that in this current economic environment we were able to refinance and restructure our existing loan while at the same time recapitalize the building to take advantage of current leasing opportunities,” indicated Greg Kindred, Senior Vice President. “We have recently completed almost 80,000 square feet of renewals and we are fortunate to have a good amount of activity of new tenant interest as well.”

270 Peachtree is strategically located at the gateway to Atlanta’s Central Business District; directly across from the Hyatt Regency and SunTrust’s corporate headquarters at SunTrust Plaza; in the same block as the Downtown Capital City Club; one block from the Peachtree Center MARTA Station; and two blocks from Centennial Olympic Park. This building affords excellent and convenient freeway accessibility and a wide selection of restaurants, retail, hotel accommodations and various other professional and attraction based amenities.
