Habitat for Humanity renews lease and commitment to Downtown Atlanta

ATLANTA ( February, 2011) – Habitat for Humanity International has renewed its lease and will add an additional floor to its administrative headquarters office space at 270 Peachtree St. in Atlanta. The expansion will bring their total occupancy to 55,264 square feet. President Richard E. Bowers and Vice President Randy Hoye with Richard Bowers & Co. represented Habitat for Humanity in the transaction, while Senior Vice President Greg Kindred and Jenna Schulten, also with Bowers, represented the landlord of 270 L.P.
“We are extremely pleased to help expand Habitat for Humanity’s administrative headquarters at 270 Peachtree. They are a tremendous organization and valued tenant for downtown Atlanta,” said Richard E. Bowers, president of Richard Bowers & Co. and landlord of the 270 Peachtree office tower. Richard Bowers said Habitat’s decision to remain at 270 Peachtree attests to the benefits of operating in downtown Atlanta, including convenient and multiple means of accessibility, public transportation and other business requirements.
“Habitat for Humanity International is proud to have called Georgia its home for 35 years,” said Ed Quibell, senior vice president and chief financial officer, Habitat for Humanity International. “Locating our offices here has been a good business decision for us. It’s convenient not only for our staff but also for our visitors who come from across the country and around the world to support Habitat’s mission of affordable housing.”
Habitat for Humanity International was founded in Americus, Ga., in 1976, where its operational headquarters are located. Habitat for Humanity moved its administrative headquarters to 270 Peachtree St. in April 2006.
